This map is a Renter Zone Assessment for San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura County. The map displays areas, or zones, in the tri-county region with higher concentration of existing and proposed multi-unit residential units, existing and proposed office employment, personal auto through trips of 40 miles or more, and personal auto parking events with 20 or more miles left to the final destination. This data was collected using mobile device data tracking and evaluation. These results can be used to prioritize the installation of electric vehicle supply equipment.

The renter data can be displayed in three different ways:

  • Renter Regional Rankings – Zones in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura County are collectively ranked and display the highest renter demand areas in the Tri-County Region.
  • Renter Rankings By County – Zones in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura County are ranked by county and display the highest renter demand areas in each of the three counties.
  • Low-Income/Disadvantaged Top 5 Renter Zones By County – The top 5 highest renter zones in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura County that are designated as low-income or disadvantaged are displayed in each of the three counties.
